BANK stands for „Berufliches Ausbildungsnetzwerk für kaufmännische Berufe“ (vocational training network for mercantile professions)

It consists of various elements which prepare mercantile apprentices quickly for operational processes.

Being a mercantile addition to the extremely successful BANG network designed for metalworking professions, BANK offers its participants further services which facilitate possibilities to simplify the training process and train highly qualified new employees.

Additional qualifications

In addition to the dual training, the apprentices receive socially, methodically and professionally relevant training in the “practice company” and the BANK seminars.

Simulation

The apprentices receive practically relevant experience in an operational atmosphere.

Supervision

BANK conducts the applicant preselection via a mentor programm, guides apprentices during their apprenticeship and is contact agency for enterprises and vocational schools.

Why BANK?

The industry is increasingly looking for employees that can work in various positions. These employees are supposed to adapt to new topics without any long vocational adjustment and understand complex operational processes.

Therefore we have created a new network, in addition to the already successful BANG network, supporting the mercantile field.

BANK mentoring

BANK conducts the applicant preselection via a mentor programm, guides apprentices during their apprenticeship and is contact agency for enterprises and vocational schools.

Applicant preselection: Our mentor finds suitable applicants and invites them to job interviews and pre-employment testing. Clients benefit from the mentor’s experience and only have to deal with areas where they would to include their own experience and know how.

Discussing the state of vocational training: There will be regular discussions about the progress of your apprentice both with the apprentice and yourself. The performances in the company, vocational school and “training company” will be discussed.

Vocational school: We relieve you of all organisational tasks regarding vocational school education during the whole apprenticeship. We visit parent days and are in close contact with the teachers.

Report booklets: If required our mentor will take over the monthly monitoring of the training attestation. He will also monitor homework and reports of the apprentices.

Apprentice feedback: At the end of each apprenticeship year we conduct a workshop for all apprentices in which the last year is reflected and the course for the next year is planned. In cooperation with the apprentices a set of measures is designed in order to implement new stimuli. The apprentices learn to act and take responsibility for their training in this process.

Individual coaching: In case of any operational or personal difficulties which could endanger the training course in your company, we are constantly available and will immediately work at solving the problem with you.

BANK “training company”

Within the scope of our projects we have established a “training company”.

This is a training center where the attendants work, the atmosphere is more that of a company, not of a class room.

Operationally practible know-how and skills are taught, trained and reinforced unter professional supervision.

The “training company” makes it possible for its attendants to collect practical experience from business relationships

  • with the characteristics of language, contract terms, payment transactions, transport, insurance and legal regulations etc.
  • the acquisition of social competence via communication training, complaint management, conflict management, project planning, time management, etc.

  • the collaboration of various departments within a company and understanding the impact of own actions

BANK project management

In addition to the practical training for apprentices we also offer a variety of additional services for competence expansion.

In this project topics that correspond to individual tasks can be developed. Examples are:

  • market and branch analysis
  • preparation and planning of meetings

  • preparation and organization of business trips

  • planning of exhibition stands

  • “open day” conception

This way apprentices learn to take control of “smaller projects” under professional supervision.
