BANG Network

BANG® has proven itself in numerous regions of Northrhine-Westfalia, North Hessia and Southern Lower Saxony and is now being established nationwide.

As of now there is no comparable model on the German market. BANG networks exist in regional branch forms: plastic, food and beverage, wind energy, mechatronics, etc. Further branch forms are imaginable. Contact us!

What is BANG?

The BANG® project (Vocational Training Network in the Commercial Range) has been standing for a trite vocational training system since its beginning in 2000.

BANG® organizes a training center and links it with the company and vocational school. The GPDM (Gesellschaft für Projektierungs- und Dienstleistungsmanagement mbH) is the initiator of this project.

Middle class companies, small business companies and selfemployed workers (SME) are facilitated in their efforts to train young talents on a demand-actuated basis.

Benefits of BANG

BANG® allows for SME’s who weren’t able to install an apprenticeship place due to financial or organizational reasons to find the needed young professionals.

BANG® relieves SME’s: Coordination with vocational schools, own mechatronic laboratorys and workshops etc.

BANG® increases the reputation of professions in the metal working industry: public relations, advertising for industrial metal working professions in schools etc.

BANG® creates apprenticeship places.

BANG® becomes self-sufficient after two years and is therefore independent from subsidies.

BANG®  is designed and structured by GPDM mbH in close cooperation with the involved companies.

BANG® is an innovational vocational training network which builds confidence of the adolescents and secures their future.

BANG® supplies a broad range for apprentices: social skill schoolings, assessment centers, summer school, scholarship regulations (advanced training/studies after and parallel to the apprenticeship), e-learning.

Background: The Vocational Training Situation in Germany

… decreasing number of qualified employees

§ educational expansion to higher school degrees – verbalized EU aim: 40% students

§ decreasing number of school leavers and therefore decreasing apprentice potential

§ comparatively low reputation of professions in the metal working industry

decreasing interest in a professional career in the metal working industry.

… increasing need of qualified employees

§ increasing sales market in the export orientated metal working industry

§ increasing need of professionals in the branch

§ increasing specialization of the metal working industry + advent of IuK technologies (CNC, CAD, CAM etc.)

increasing demands in professionals.

SME’s are an important pillar of the German economy within this scope:
3.3 million small and medium-sized enterprises represent 40 percent of all gross investments and 49  percent of all turnovers in Germany.
They employ 70 percent of all jobholders and train 80 percent of all apprentices in the country.
